MY MOTHER, MY INSPIRATION!
My mom is my Hero, I never get tired of telling her this!
I have a deep admiration for the strength and faith by which she lives. Her words are: don't give up, fight until you get it.
My mother faced many adversities, but she overcame all of of them with a lot of determination, firmness, discipline and dedication.
My mother was born in a small city of Minas Gerais state, and when she was still single she moved to São Paulo together with her parents and siblings.
Her family are musicians and they are talented for arts too. She says she doesn't sing like her sisters and brothers, but she always liked art and painting.
She has a great skill for arts. She painted a lot on fabrics and now, more recently mandalas .
Today she is 86 years old, unfortunately she has Alzheimer's, grade 2, but the love for life remains the same. Despite the recent loss of her eldest son, she did not surrender, she continued to move on, and during this period the passion in painting mandalas helped to bring her inner peace.
According to my sister, a mandala student, the colours my mother most used during this period were: Red - joy, dynamism; Green - fertility, hope, liveliness and health; Orange - the color of recreation, sociability and Buddhism; Yellow - light, illumination, intelligence; Blue - friendliness, harmony, fidelity, the feminine color and the intellectual virtues; Pink - sweet, delicate, charm, all the feelings that belong to pink are positive. I am very proud to be her daughter! With so much effort and joy of living, I am here honouring my mother with the collection of her drawings and launching her mother's day card with two of her drawings made by her, recently.
I hope my mother's story can inspire and be useful to rejoice the hearts of many mothers around the world.
Because "Mother's Day" is every day !!
